Traditional Greek Cooking Retreat

Our journey begins in the charming seaside town of Kaş, Turkey, where we'll meet on Friday to explore the bustling markets and local food stores, sample regional flavours and enjoy a welcome evening meal together before sailing across the sparkling Mediterranean to the beautiful Greek island of Kastellorizo on Saturday morning.

On Kastellorizo, join us for five hands-on, three-hour cooking classes where you'll master authentic Greek favourites including meze, Greek sweets, dolmathes, spanakopita and moussaka. After each class, gather around the table to enjoy the dishes you've prepared and take home the skills and confidence to recreate these traditional recipes.

Your host, Tranda, will guide you through authentic techniques, family recipes and the cherished customs of Kastellorizo. As the sun sets, we'll visit local tavernas, tasting island specialities and experiencing the warmth of Greek hospitality. All recipes are easy to follow and suitable for every skill level.

  • One night's accommodation in Kaş, Turkey, including breakfast

  • Ferry transfer from Kaş, Turkey, to Kastellorizo, Greece

Excursions

Highlights include the Blue Grotto, the Island Museum and other memorable experiences that celebrate the food, culture and history of Kastellorizo.

Exclusions

Transport
Domestic and international airfare and ferry transport, as well as travel to and from the island, are not included.

Accommodation
Accommodation on Kastellorizo is not included. As the island is small, we encourage guests to choose the accommodation that best suits their style and budget while supporting the island's locally owned businesses. For our recommended places to stay, please visit our FAQ page, "Staying."

Meals and Alcohol
Breakfasts are not included, as these are enjoyed at your hotel or Airbnb.

Lunch not included Thursday.

Dinners not included Thursday night.

Alcoholic beverages are not provided, though you are welcome to bring your own drinks to lunch or dinner.

Visa and Insurance
Guests are responsible for arranging their own visa and travel insurance. Please make any necessary enquiries directly with the relevant authorities or providers.
